My name is Jasmine Marshall and I have a passion for aviation. My passion for aviation developed for me in a program that I was involved in, the summer of my eight grade year . It allowed me to learn about aviation and what careers it offered in this field. At that very moment, was when I, first discovered that I might want to purse a career in this field. In high school I took a program that allowed you to get your private pilot licenses. After that I decided to attend Indiana State University and major in aviation management.
Today I am currently a sophomore at Indiana State University majoring in aviation management and minoring in unmanned systems. So far I have taken four courses related to my career goal such as private pilot theory, general aviation operations, aviation weather, and Airport Operations. When I graduate from college my career goal is to become an Air Traffic Controller at Indianapolis International Airport someday. If that does not workout for me my back up plan would be to work myself up to become an airport manager at Fedex in Indianapolis. Aviation management will prepare me in the aviation industry by the understanding of the functions and responsibilities of a manager or air traffic controller.
